In today’s post we will see how I reached monthly revenue of 10$ by writing on Medium about Data Science and AI.

Medium introduced its Medium Partner Program a while back to monetarily reward its writers.

While 10$ isn’t much, it is a great encouragement for budding writers especially whose profession is not writing.

Quality Content

It goes without saying that producing quality content is very essential to get views and in turn earnings.

I usually take a week to write a technical blog post. Since my background is in AI , I try to find newly released algorithms or libraries that are interesting to try out.

Once I have an idea of what to write a blog post on, I spend the first 3–4 days trying to create a new use case for the algorithm and creating corresponding code with Jupyter notebooks. Once the code is done, I clean and upload on Github . Then I start writing blog post and I take a day or two for it.

Few take away points :

1. If possible have a compelling main image that goes with your blog post.
2. Clearly explain at the beginning itself what the input to the code is and what the expected output is…
